A Singular Arrow from Argentina.

The only example of the FMA I.Aé-27 Pulqui I (Mapuche; Pulqúi, Arrow) jet fighter built has been added to the site. Although underpowered and possessing somewhat average performance, Emile Dewoitine's jet prototype is significant because it was the first gas turbine powered aircraft built in Latin America and its conception launched an aircraft design industry in Argentina.

The Pulqui I survives at the Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica de Argentina at Base Aerea Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Click on the image to go to the walkaround page.
